I was not racing a lot in 2017, just two races for Boerdesprint. Mostly, I was spending time to prepare my racing season 2018. Nevertheless I had a lot of fun with my former team mates from 2011 to share the car at Boerdesprint. And with two victories in two races, we were highly successful.
2016 I started in the GT4 European Series for Reiter Engineering. The KTM X-Bow GT4 was my first race car with rear wheel drive.
The Audi Sport TT Cup is a support racing series of the DTM. As the road version of the Audi TT is my favorite car, it was a pure pleasure to drive this car in the race version on the tracks.
2014 I started in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup at the DTM. The 285 hp Volkswagen Scirocco was powered by natural gas. The highlight of my season was certainly my 8th place in the race in Moscow. All in all, It was quite a fight for me to enforce against the extremely strong international field of drivers. But by the professional care and support of VW I could make probably the biggest step in regarding to driving skills this year.
2013 I switched from endurance races to sprint races. With the MINI Trophy as part of the GT Masters I almost fulfilled my dream. At the beginning of my racing career it was always my goal to race in the MINI Trophy. And already the second race was probably one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever had and at the same time my season highlight: A race on the Nordschleife as support of the 24h race.
I stayed with the same team and race car for 2012. With more experience I was already fighting for victories and finished with severel podiums in this year.
After I had finished my day of testing successfully, I started in my first racing season 2011. The racecar was a Chevrolet Cruze with 140 hp without ABS and other electronic helpers. The race lasted 4 hours with at least 3 pit stops to change drivers. Thus, always after about 1 hour, the driver was changed. The races were e.g. in Oschersleben, Hockenheim, Nürburgring, Sachsenring and Assen.
Since 2014 I work as a driving instructor besides of my racing. I absolut enjoy the work as a coach because I can give some of my motorsport knowledge to my customers.
My work as an instructor is very different. Every event is special and thats something, I really enjoy about the job. In the summer, it’s more about racetrack trainings, road safety trainings and in winter its about drift trainings in Finland. But also a lot of customized events are part of my schedule.
Some of my partners are Red Bull Ring, Mercedes Benz Driving Events, Smart, Toyota and Bridgestone.
